A sterling horseshoe locket, dated c.1882, on its 19 inch chain. 6.5 grams.
Most antique lockets arrive orphaned, the chain long since gone to something else. This one still has its own, which is rarer than the locket.
The horseshoe was a luck charm before it was an equestrian one, hung points up so the luck could not run out.
Sold as found, one of one.
