Mille Movie Club
Now showing — Roman Holiday.
For our first year of Cinémille, we’ve been quietly working our way through the films that taught us how to dress, how to long, how to run away for an afternoon. It feels only right to close the year in Rome.
Roman Holiday (1953) is the one we keep coming back to — Audrey Hepburn as a runaway princess, Gregory Peck as the newspaperman who knows better, a borrowed Vespa, gelato on the Spanish Steps, and the most romantic no ever committed to film. It is a story about a single stolen day, and how a single day can be enough.
Join us Tuesday, July 21 at The Parkway Theater — doors at six, film at seven. It’s our one-year anniversary, so expect special guests and a few party plans we’re not quite ready to announce. Dress for a Roman evening: something easy and a little romantic, the kind of thing Audrey might have thrown on to disappear into a crowd.
See you at the cinema.
